These days, I do so much traveling that I don't even know where my home is. Till a couple of months ago, I was in NITK, Surathkal, near Mangalore, that beautiful Room # 125 in 8th block. You could say that I was definitely going to miss it and going home(?) wasn't something that I was very excited about. Nonetheless, I did go back to Kochi, which is the place I was born and brought up for 18 years...
Within a couple of days, some of my close college pals and myself went on a Goa trip for which I had to stopover in Bangalore, which is definitely another candidate for home... After Goa, I decided to go visit my dad who was in Chennai, Hyderabad and finally, now, in Mumbai in the last 3 years.
After spending nearly 2 whole weeks there in Mumbai where even my Mom and Grandma came, we flew back to Kochi today. Funnily, the flight stopped in Mangalore for half-an-hour and when we finally touched down in Kochi, it really felt that this didn't feel like home anymore...
I guess I feel more at home in my hostel room. Or maybe, the lovely apartment in Mumbaa... Anyway, the only thing I know is that, within a couple of months, I will be moving to Bangalore for my job and will be getting myself a new house. I will just have to wait and see when it turns into my home...

Midnight without Internet
Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. Our internet package was running out of MBs to download. We had a 2GB package for 3 months. Well, it ran out in 12 days... So my dad decided to take a 10GB package for 1 month, which, funnily, works out to be cheaper than the previous package!(Don't ask me how? The internet guys are morons.) But we had something like 82 MB left in our previous account and they said that they can't activate the account unless the whole 2 GB is extinguished. Easy-peasy! 20 minutes later we were on the phone asking for the new package.
This was around 8 in the night, so I decided to watch the IPL match and then start my infinite downloading! I was looking forward to that. At around 1230, I came to the comp, and the net had stopped working! I didn't know what the hell to do! I was almost in a frenzy(I am not exaggerating)
I played minesweeper for half an hour. I even played Freecell! By around 1 am, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to sleep. That was the first time in nearly 3 months that I had gone to bed before 2. I realized that I had become a total wastage, dependent on not just my computer, but the internet. I should get a life...

How much more music can we make?
Yesterday, I had a sudden feeling that I am getting a bit tired of listening to the same old music over and over again. I get that feeling once every few months. But unlike the last few years, I couldn't ask my trusted new-music-finder-friend for more stuff and download it off the college LAN. So I started the search online and went to this site called www.gnoosic.com which gives music that you might like based on your current preferences of band choices. One name caught my eye-Symphopy X.
I got some music off their stuff off the net, and it sounds shaggadelic! Some competition to my DT, PT and Opeth collection? Maybe? Only time will tell...
A few years ago, I wasn't even exposed to progressive music. Hell, I thought Pink Floyd was the actual name of a guy! I didn't even know beyond mainstream music. I had thought that the creativity in music had run out, that all possible combinations of creating good music had been already explored, that all new music was a variation of tried and tested melodies of the 60's and 70's...
Now, every few months, I discover more and more awesome music. The amount of creativity that flow out of people is just amazing. Waters and Gilmour, I am sure, will be so proud that progressive and psychedelic music have matured and become so complex. After I am done experimenting with Symphony X, which I am sure will be an exhilarating experience, I will definitely be able to find more bands oozing with musical talent.

Man U wins... So what?
Being a big supporter of Manchester United for more than a decade, I thought, I might be very excited about them winning the EPL yet again. But for some reason, I didn't find myself celebrating that much. I was desperate to try and find an answer (and being utterly jobless helps in thinking of such useless issues). I realized that I was spending a lot of time swapping channels between ESPN and Set Max. Has the IPL fever taken over me?
I don't want to believe that. But it does look like it is creating a new wave of supporters. My dad keeps telling me that there is a possibility that cricket is going to become more popular than football(ya whatever, soccer). That will be the day...

read this now!!!!!
Don't you just hate it when people type unnecessary exclamation marks like: "o!!! tat's so kewl dyuuud!!!!!" And, what is with the kewl? Just by spelling it differently, you become cool? Maybe he/she becomes kewl. (Ha ha, I crack myself up.)
Another kewl thing to do is to write in a manner which is definitely non-English and more Mathematical. "1h3r3 i5 |\|0 5p00|\|"-That's a line from the Matrix.
Its also kewl to eliminate unnecessary(and necessary) vowels from sentences. Why wld w rqr vwls n ths sntc nywy? n fct, mght s wll rmv ll cnsnnts.

I hope you liked that poem which I just described above... blogspot has truncated all the unnecessary white spaces between the punctuations to enhance readability.
Ya, I am evil... I also use so much of this Leet language(called 1337, yuck!), although, I try to reduce the number of exclamation marks at least... People say that I type "Lol" atleast 17 jillion times in every chat session.
Hope u njoyed reading thees!!!!!111one

What a headache
For the first time in my life, I got sick of driving. Today, I didn't drive as much as last Saturday, when I raced at nearly 140kph on the Mumbai-Pune expressway. But the place in front of IIT Mumbai is always hell for anyone on a four-wheeler. I was stuck there for nearly two hours having moved maybe a maximum of 1 km. It got so irritating that I got a headache and went off to bed as soon as we reached home, nearly 7 pm. After a few hours sleep and my whole biological clock disrupted, I will need the next few days to attempt to set it to its routine, although, I am not entirely proud of the current time settings. But when will I ever be able to set it right, considering that I have to be up at 9 in the morning for another drive to Thane. Maybe I should try and go to bed at least before the morning train starts whizzing past my apartments again(which, by the way, starts at 4 in the morning).
Baah, who am I kidding. My only hope is that I will keep on pushing my time of sleep every day that might eventually sleep at midnight having pushed it all the way till there. Or maybe, I should try and sleep now with Headache: Episode II making a release. Find out tomorrow, the exciting end to this great chapter in a series of headachesssssssssssssssss.. Musst preeess pppubblishh.... vision tooo blurryyyy... headaaa(ARGH!)ache winnninggg?????!!!!??!!!!111one

YHD - Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape
0:00 minutes, Some haunting synthetic whooshing noise with drums. Bass begins slowly and the whooshing becomes very weird... Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape, the most awesome song that I have ever heard in my life. This masterpiece from Porcupine Tree(PT) is the one song that has inspired me in the last few years. Its 4 in the morning now, and I am listening to YHD for the third time in a row
Why is this song so awesome? And why is this not the most famous PT song? I really don't know the answer to that. All I know is that the song has reached 3:35 after its mind-boggling journey through the universe and has increased its tempo; I feel goosebumps forming up till my arms, that same feeling I get when I have that first small sip of beer.
As you already probably guessed, I am a big fan of PT, Opeth, DT (Dream Theater) and a lot of other progressive bands. I have tried my hands at all kinds of music but it looks like I will be stuck with progressive for a very long time, and I don't mind at all...
Aah, the song's reached 5:00 minutes now. The extra guitar riffs have begun. If I hadn't been writing this post right now, I would have been transported to another world right now. Space rock at its best! Strings have joined the party. A wonderful guitar lead at the 6:00 minute mark. Reaching 6:30 minutes now and the BPM is slowly increasing(when does it ever stop increasing?). By the time its 7:00, i can only hear muffled guitar notes with that lovely bass changin in the background... 7:30 minutes and guitar notes switch octaves with the same ease as my drifting thoughts. Finally there's a wonderful crescendo of notes and all of this comes crashing down at 8:00 minutes like some kind of gigantic orgasm. I could describe this song forever and ever. Somehow I get the feeling that this won't be the last time I would be describing this song...
P.S: I wasn't high when I wrote this. Maybe I should (try to)write the same thing when I actually am. That's a thought...
P.P.S: Please listen to this song at least 10 times before reading this. It took me a whole week to even start appreciating the beauty of this song. Now, its nearly 250 listens later that I am writing this.

Well updated
As I have been updating my blog very regularly these days, I shall continue to do so in the next few days as well.
And by the way, if you haven't recognized it already, I love to use sarcasm, and in huuuuuge quantities. So, if I do update, there will be a lot of useless non-sense scattered among all the other very useful information (see what I mean).
